Specific points we consider include fence apertures and crush points on gates, and all to ensure the safety of the child is our first priority.

The aesthetics of Playground Fencing
Accepting safety must come first, the aesthetics of the playground fence are also important, both to look attractive to the children using the play area, and to complement and adjacent building - e.g. a school. Because we have our own manufacturing facility and can carry out the design of the playground fence or work to architects' drawings, any design is possible.
Types of playground fencing
Because of the aesthetic requirements of individual playground fences,
virtually all finished projects are bespoke. However, the basic types
of steel playground fence are typically:
- Bow top railing
- Mesh panel
- Palisade
Timber fences are also an option with log walling being both attractive and practical.

Finish and colours of playground fencing
A smooth clean finish is obviously important as children will inevitably come into contact with the fence, and we ensure all surfaces are safe in this respect. We can finish play area fencing in a range of standard RAL colours, with special colours also possible to match adjacent buildings etc.
Gates for playground fencingIn terms of safety, gates for playgrounds are just as important and at Procter Fencing Systems we have our own design and manufacturing facility for all types of swing gates. So whatever type of fence is agreed for the playground, we are able to design and manufacture a gate which both matches it and fully takes into account all safety considerations.
