Comprehensive Procter Fencing Systems Service
Our experience and expertise allows us to provide a full and comprehensive fencing service, meaning our customers deal with us with complete confidence. The following is a brief outline of what we do and how we operate.
1. Technical Consultation and Site SurveyAs one of the first stages in the very comprehensive service we provide at Procter Fencing Systems, our highly skilled and experienced technical staff provide a free technical consultation and site survey for each individual fencing project. This crucial stage of a fencing project ensures that the most appropriate and cost-effective solution is proposed. This approach differs from some other fencing businesses because, as an independent company, we are not tied to certain fencing materials and preferred methods of installation. So what we finally go on to propose as a result of the technical consultation and site survey really will be best for our customer. As part of the technical consultation and site survey, there are five main areas we consider: i) Level of security neededAlthough this may seem obvious, many fencing installations we see around the UK are inappropriate for the job - both over-specked and under-specked. Our experience over more than 70 years always ensures we understand the level of security needed for a fencing project and therefore go on to recommend the most ideal specification. This specification will have many elements which include:
ii) AestheticsWith or without a high level of security requirement, how a perimeter fencing system looks can be important for some projects. Often it might just be the case of colour matching to the building the fencing is protecting, but for some projects designing, manufacturing and installing entirely bespoke fencing is needed - something we're very much geared-up to do. The site survey combined with the requirements of the customer will establish the level that aesthetics need to be taken into account for the fencing, and we will respond to this accordingly.iii) Cost parametersWe do of course fully understand that the optimum solution for a fencing project might also be an expensive one - even with our highly competitive prices. So fully understanding what cost parameters exist at the earliest stage of a project allows us to only propose a solution which can be afforded.iv) GatesHinged and sliding gates aren't just something we can 'also supply'; we have an integrated business for their design, manufacture and installation. In fact Procter Swing Gates and Sliding Gates are renowned for being some of the best available, and allowing us to include these as part of a wider fencing contract is likely to mean a more cost-effective solution overall.v) Scheduling and deliveryAlthough at the technical consultation and site survey stage we wouldn't of course normally have been awarded the contract, it is important that we fully understand the overall scheduling of the project to ensure we build this into our detailed proposal. And of course, in the event we're awarded the fencing contract we'll go on to ensure that the agreed scheduling and delivery is something we adhere to.2. Design ServiceAs an independent business and as we're not tied to any particular type of fencing and therefore can always ensure our customers get the right fencing solution, it's clearly important that we have a first-rate design service to accommodate an almost endless number of options. Our design service for fencing and gates is something we're very proud of, and CAD drawings can be provided for variations on relatively standard options such as palisade fencing, through to highly individual bespoke railings, other steel fences and all types of both hinged and sliding gates. All designs provided will be based on actual site measurements that we will have taken at the technical consultation and site survey stage. 3. Detailed ProposalFully detailed and costed proposals are provided from architect's designs, contractors' bills of quantity, or from our own designs where more bespoke solutions are required. Budget prices can also be provided, but in all cases we never try and hide 'hidden extras'. Therefore our customers can deal with us in confidence because they will know what the true cost of the project will be. 4. ManufactureOur excellent in-house manufacturing facility enables us to manufacture exactly the fencing type which is right for the job. This manufacturing capacity for fencing and gates also means we have complete control over quality, and indeed the delivery date. Manufacturing our own fencing and gates also means we can fully see-through any design work we have also done on a fencing project. In any event though, fencing products and gates can be hot-dip galvanised to BENISO 1461 and powder coated to ensure a long-term durable and attractive finish. Virtually any colour can be matched, which can be an important consideration where aesthetics are important for a particular fencing project. 5. GatesAn important part of Procter's wider business is the design and manufacture of gates, and both hinged gates and sliding gates. Our expertise and experience of designing, manufacturing and installing gates is as impressive as our outstanding track record with fencing, and indeed a measure of this is the prestigious projects we've completed such as the famous gates at Kensigton Palace. Our service for the design, manufacture and installation of both sliding and hinged bespoke gates really is comprehensive, and includes a full range of options for automation and access control. All gates are installed and fully commissioned on site with instruction provided on the operation and maintenance requirements of powered gates, with all powered gates that we supply and install being to a standard that allows them to be CE Marked and to conform to the current European Directives. InstallationAll Procter fencing and gate installations are carried out by our own skilled and experienced installation teams - we don't subcontract out any installations. This means that, along with every other stage in the process, we retain complete control over the fencing or fencing and gate project, with our contract managers overseeing every key stage of each installation. Specific points to note which reinforces the quality and consistency of our installations are:
